The AL71 doesn't feel like an aluminum board. It's much lighter weight than any other AL series I've tried, including the AL65 hollow. This is due to the PC siding for the light effects, which also creates an incredibly fascinating sound profile for a smaller board. If you go with higher resonant switches expect a clacky, almost hollow sound. If you go with deeper resonance, especially hand-lubed, the sound profile switches entirely and loses some of the hollow sound.

That said, the engineering respects your switch choice, so whatever switch and keycaps you throw on here will change the entire profile of the board. For a foamed board, that's impressive.

As usual on the AL series, the stabs don't need a lot of work, and if you put a semi-silent switch on them (I use ink black pro v2's) then you really don't need to do a lot of work with them.

For mine, I got a pink AL71 and threw on a really cute keycap set for my niece. Absolutely perfect board for someone who will be throwing this into a bookbag or carrying it around - maybe not ideal for a permanent desk board.

I was sent a pink AL71 barebones. I was honestly surprised and very, very pleased because I was intending to gift the board to my niece, and pink is her favorite color. How they managed to pull that off is beyond me, but Yunzii customer service is magical.

The quality of the board is also incredible, especially considering what I paid for it. Highly encourage you to make this purchase. I threw on the mystery keycap set that I received from them earlier and it's honestly just the perfect gift for a soon-to-be teenager who needs a board that is lightweight and works with an iPad and a PC.

The keyboard came with a cupcake mousepad, extra key caps, cat stickers and a cute card. The keyboard looks exactly as advertised and I love the milky sound of the key caps. The Programm to change the lights is broken and I cannot download it, however, the hot keys work just fine so I can still change the color for every keyboard part easily. Overall, I can highly recommend the keyboard and am happy to have found a company that produces cute designs for gaming that are easily obtainable in the west and have a fair price.

the desk mat is thick and very high quality. The stitching is perfect with no loose threads. It’s actually weighty and does a fantastic job of creating a comfortable typing experience.

Unfortunately, if you have a cat they’ll think it’s their bed. Not really a downside though.
